In February and March 2014 Purus invested about 3.5 million SEK in expanded fleet. This includes to two injection moulding machines and a picking robot. Purus now has a fleet totalling more than 20 injection moulding machines, two of which are all-electric.
The new form syringes, both of the brand Krauss Maffei, will expand capacity in production. The larger of the two helps to drive the major articles in the range, for example our design gullies Purus Line.
The machine is also equipped with a picking robot supplied by Wemo, a Swedish company that specialises in robotic systems. The robot is able to place the details directly on pallets.
We can now double the production capacity for tools that require between 400-500 tons of clamping force while increasing the ability to run smaller applications, requiring 100-130 tons of clamping force, says Fredrik Persson, Purus Production Engineer, Ystad (Picture).
